Seen from the front, Wandering stands upright and majestic, a totemic figure evoking a guardian. In profile, her feminine silhouette seems to glide in a fluid movement, imbued with grace and determination.
A symbol of resilience, this work evokes for the artist the inner journey we undertake each day. With grace and dignity, we move forward one step at a time, transforming hardship into another stage of our path.

Née en Allemagne et établie entre Londres et le sud de la France depuis plus de 25 ans, Uta Tiggesmeier est une sculptrice dont le travail explore la mythologie, le féminin, la nature et la transformation.
Diplômée de la Heatherley School of Fine Art à Londres, elle a reçu plusieurs distinctions, notamment le Heatherley Sculpture Prize et le People’s Choice Award du British National Sculpture Prize. Son travail a été exposé à l’international et fait l’objet de commandes de collectionneurs en Europe, en Asie et aux États-Unis.
Born in Germany and based between London and the South of France for over 25 years, Uta Tiggesmeier is a sculptor whose work explores mythology, womanhood, nature and transformation.
A graduate of the Heatherley School of Fine Art in London, she has received several awards, including the Heatherley Sculpture Prize and the People’s Choice Award of the British National Sculpture Prize. Her work has been exhibited internationally and commissioned by collectors in Europe, Asia and the United States.

Wandering a été produite dans le cadre d’un concours national au Royaume-Uni, où elle a été sélectionnée parmi 10 finalistes. Elle a ensuite été installée à l’échelle monumentale dans un parc de sculptures dans le Devon, où elle a remporté le prix du public, “The Public Speaks”.
Depuis, cette pièce a été choisie pour figurer dans des expositions prestigieuses, notamment à :
– l’Ambassade d’Allemagne à Londres
– le Musée Pierre Salinger, Thor (L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, France)
Son histoire et sa visibilité institutionnelle renforcent son caractère singulier et symbolique.

Wandering was created for a national competition in the United Kingdom, where it was selected as one of 10 finalists. It was later installed on a monumental scale in a sculpture park in Devon, where it received the public choice award, The Public Speaks.
Since then, the work has been selected for a number of prestigious exhibitions, including:
– The German Embassy in London
– The Pierre Salinger Museum, Thor, L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, France
Its history and institutional visibility further enhance its distinctive and symbolic character.
