Fertility Vessel I

£1,600.00

The clay vessel carries motifs of the fertility myths, and honours the goddess of life, death and regeneration. Do you recognise the snake dividing the plate in the middle, splitting the cells and originating new growth? The motifs are from an archeological find from the Royal Tomb of Isopata at Knossos.

Earthenware white Ø 50 cm
